This technological innovation by Machinex Deposit is a first for Quebec, ready to revolutionize how the return of deposit containers is currently done.

Imagine effortlessly dumping all your containers into a hopper, whether they’re made of plastic, aluminum, multi-layer cardboard, or glass. Without any additional effort, they are directed to a vision unit powered by an artificial intelligence module that will precisely count the contents of your bag in record time. During this operation, a real-time video stream keeps you updated on the count of each container, ensuring a transparent and unique user experience.

But that’s not the only feature of the MACH CountAIner™. It also optionally offers separation of light materials (aluminum, plastic & multi-layer cardboard) from heavy materials (glass). Depending on the site’s layout, it can also be perfectly combined with other barcode recognition and separation technologies (if required by the system operator) as well as various compaction, granulation, and deposit material storage systems.

At the foundation of this technological revolution? A neural network architecture based on proven image recognition inspired by the SamurAI® Sorting robot deployed in sorting centers and proven since 2018. Fed by millions of constantly evolving images thanks to machine learning, the MACH CountAIner™ stands as the future of deposit container recovery technologies.
