MACHINEX RECEIVES ”BUSINESS EXTENDING BEYOND QUEBEC” AWARD
PLESSISVILLE – May 6th, 2024 – Machinex proudly received the ”Business extending beyond Quebec” award at the Pantheon of Performance, on Friday, May 3rd. This event, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bois-Francs and Érable, celebrates the personal and professional successes of the local business community.
The ”Business Extending Beyond Quebec” award honors the company that has distinguished itself outside Quebec for its organization, work, involvement, and achievements. A proud Quebec-based company, Machinex has successfully expanded its operations and cutting-edge equipment to become a leader in the field of sorting centers, both locally and internationally. In 2023, Machinex completed one of the most automated sorting centers in the world, the Sherbourne Resource Park, located on the outskirts of Birmingham, United Kingdom. This sorting center processes over 50 tons of recyclable material per hour and is equipped with automated machinery that requires only 5 manual sorters to operate, achieving a purity rate of 99% for all sorted materials. This is a remarkable feat in the recyclable materials management industry.
During her acceptance speech, Anne-Marie Paré, Marketing, and Corporate Affairs Director, highlighted the determination and perseverance of Pierre Paré, CEO of the Machinex Group: “An incredible man, leading the company for 40 years. It was him who initially knocked on doors outside Quebec with all his goodwill. It is thanks to him that the company is where it is today. This award belongs to him tonight.”
The success Machinex enjoys today is thanks to the innovative vision and entrepreneurial spirit of Pierre Pare, who has served as President and CEO for over 27 years, developing the small business that Machinex was in the 1970s. Today, with a global team of approximately 600 people, Machinex is a source of pride for the region, emerging as a leader internationally in its field.
