MACHINEX IS BUILDING A DAYCARE TO PROMOTE THE WELL-BEING OF ITS EMPLOYEES.

Plessisville, November 16, 2023 – Machinex is pleased to announce the construction of a daycare in Plessisville, with its opening scheduled for spring 2024. In March 2022, the Ministry of Family approved the development of this subsidized daycare project with 80 spaces, including 10 spaces for children under 18 months, as part of the ongoing call for projects. The children of Machinex employees will have priority admission.

The Initiative
Machinex is a recycling technology company that celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2020. Founded in Plessisville, Machinex has remained committed to keeping its headquarters in the industrial park of Plessisville despite its international reach, demonstrating a strong sense of belonging.

Machinex’s mission is to “Create solutions for a more responsible future.” This mission is defined by its business sector, which involves designing, manufacturing, and installing state-of-the-art sorting centers worldwide. This mission has also guided the ambitious decision to build a new daycare that will welcome the children of all its employees.

For the company, this daycare project is a concrete gesture to invest in future generations, in the local community, and above all, to assist its employees in managing their daily lives.

“Family has always been an essential pillar for me, and it remains a fundamental value at Machinex. Our commitment to our employees is part of a long-standing philosophy focused on finding solutions to improve their well-being. The issue of daycare affects many families within our company. We believe that offering our employees the peace of mind that comes with a healthy environment for the development of their children is a solution that will have a significant impact,” says Pierre Paré, CEO of Machinex.

“We aspire to create a safe and conducive learning environment for children. Who knows, our passion for recycling could even turn into educational games, introducing them to good environmental practices from an early age!”

The Opening
This daycare will open in spring 2024. The facilities will be located near the Machinex campus in Plessisville to accommodate parents.

Recruitment
We are currently in the recruitment process for the position of daycare director. The rest of the recruitment process will begin in February 2024. If you are interested in submitting your application as an educator or cook, please do so at the following address: [email protected]

The mayors of the City and Parish of Plessisville, Messrs. Pierre Fortier and Jean-François Labbé, are delighted to see the realization of this project, which is great and happy news for the community. “The construction of this new subsidized daycare will address a pressing need for daycare spaces in our area. Thanks to our good understanding, we are very pleased to have succeeded in revitalizing this sector of the city,” the mayors affirm.

Suzanne Roy, Minister of Family, Minister responsible for the Montérégie region, and Member of the National Assembly for Verchères, adds, “Our goal is clear: to offer all Quebec families a quality subsidized daycare space. The challenge is significant, and that’s why we strive to explore all possible avenues to achieve it. Machinex’s initiative is a beautiful example of creativity and initiative that we want to support and develop throughout Quebec. I take this opportunity to salute the remarkable work of all those who made this beautiful project possible and wish wonderful moments to come for the children and the entire staff.”
